Aaron Smith left the game today with a torn tricep tendon. Don't know if you noticed that the fish started to run the ball a little better. Last year's injury to Aaron led to a losing streak that cost the Steelers a playoff spot.
A torn tricep could cost Aaron this season also. If it is a minor tricep tear he could get away with rest and rehab and a recovery time of 1-4 weeks. If it is a major tear he will probably have surgery and he could be out of action from 4-6 weeks in a best case scenario. The rest of the season in a worst case scenario.
Either way Aaron will probably be missing for several weeks, not a good thing for the Steelers Defensive line. It appears it's time for Ziggy Hood to step up and live up to his first round 1 draft pick status.
