1-9 IN THE LAST 10

The poor play continues. This time ZD gave up 7 runs in the first inning and the Cubs took the second game of this series at PNC Park by the score of 9-4. Once again to add insult to injury. One of those guys that the Pirates decided had no future with them held them to 4 runs. Tom Gorzellany, who pitched fairly well in relief when returning to Pittsburgh earlier this year was the Cubs starter tonight. Wouldn't it be nice to have a reliable lefty in the bullpen. It seems Zach is wearing down. In fact it seems like the whole team is wearing down. Their home record is still above .500 but it won't be for long if this play continues. It seems like the only thing to talk about is the play of the Legend. Another Home Run tonight, he's up to 19. Too bad this story doesn't follow the storyline of the Natural. He needs to hit a shot into the lights. That would be great. Or maybe the team needs some patches on their uniform. Something to wake these guys up.
