Close ones

Do you know what happens when you have a bunch of young players who haven't played together much. If you're pitching is decent enough to make up for an offense that struggles to score runs you have a lot of close games that usually go the other way. Yesterday they lost 3-4, today they are tied 6-6 after giving up a run in the 8th. There are the blowouts too, 6-0 to a pitcher with a 6+ era and 8-4 to the Nationals. Hopefully they'll pull it out tonight.

I'm just wondering what happened to Neil Walker? He was a can't miss. We've seen them before though as Pirates fans. All those pitchers and none of them worth a AAA player now. It is incredible that they could not have lucked out and found one dominant guy in all those draft picks. I hate to say anything but Pedro Alvarez looks like the real deal. I can't wait to see him in a Pirates uni, patrolling 3rd or 1st.
